Tak-Wah, PhD (Washington), has researched in bioinformatics algorithms, from theory to practice, for 20 years. A Professor in Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong, he is recognized as a pioneer in applying compressed indexing techniques to genomic sequence alignment. His team has developed and owns several state-of-the-art bioinformatics software.
